meet the students
The classes at Bambakofi Academy range from grades 1-8, and the students are various ages depending on when they were admitted to the Academy. One of the most noticeable things all of the students have in common is their unbelievable motivation and desire to learn. They were so grateful to have us there. As much as we would like to think differently, they probably ended up teaching us more than we taught them.
The students were kind, smart and unbelievably welcoming. Each of us had a class of about 12 students who we worked with and taught everyday. Some of us had very young students while others had older teens. By the end of our time there, many great friendships were formed. The students wrote us letters and even drew us pictures thanking us for coming!
